# Comparing 3-Digit Numbers

The worksheets and printable games on this page will help you teach students to compare 3-digit numbers. All activities reinforce the phrases and symbols for greater than, less than, and equal to.

## Comparing Numbers

Compare triple-digit numbers using symbols and words.  Also includes word problems.  (example: 765 < 898)
2nd and 3rd Grades
In this two-player game, players roll a die to make three-digit numbers. They compare the numbers using <, >, and = symbols.
Cut out the "greater than" and "less than" alligators and glue them in the correct boxes.
Another cut and paste activity starring Less Than Alligator and Greater Than Alligator.  In this version, students are also required to write out the answer with words.  These numbers have 3-digits.
1st through 3rd Grades
Use symbols and words to compare the values of three-digit numbers.  (example: 444 > 441)
2nd and 3rd Grades
There's a cypher key at the top of this printable worksheet. Use it to decipher the pairs of numbers. Then use <, >, and = to compare.

## Ordering Numbers

Students must examine four triple-digit numbers and rewrite them in order, from smallest value to largest value.
1st and 2nd Grades
Cut apart the three-digit number cards and sort them in order from least to greatest. This file includes 5 different card sets.
1st through 3rd Grades
Each of the adorable dancing pigs has a 3-digit number.  Cut, sort, and glue the pigs in order from least to greatest.
