This page has a collection of printable reading logs. Choose from a variety of styles and layouts. Students use these logs to track titles & authors of books read, number of pages read, and reading time. Some have an area for parent signatures.

Printable Reading Logs

Primary
Grades K-2

This primary-level reading log has lines for the student (or parent) to write the book title. Student them rate the book by choosing an emoji.

Intermediate
Grades 2-4

This table has a section for start time, end time, and minutes read.
2nd through 4th Grades
On this reading log, students can tell whether a book was too easy, just right, or too hard. They can also rate the book by coloring 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 stars.
2nd and 3rd Grades
This printable reading chart has a column for minutes read, parent initials, and rating. (Click the ALT button below if you prefer a star rating instead of the emoji rating.)
2nd through 4th Grades
Students write down the title and author of each book read. They also record the number of pages in each book.
3rd through 6th Grades
Students keep track of the number of minutes read each day. There's a spot for a sticker and parent initials.

Grades 4 and Up

This one includes columns for date, title % author, start & times, starting & ending pages, and number of pages read.
4th through 6th Grades
This reading log requires students to write a brief summary of their reading.
