Phonics Worksheets

Say the name of each item shown. Color the circle with the correct consonant blend. Then fill in the missing letters to complete each word.
1st and 2nd Grades
Fill in the missing letters in these basic Halloween words: bat (b_t), moon (m_ _n), web (w_b), owl (o_l), and with (wit_ _).
Kindergarten and 1st Grade
Color the "Short A" words to reveal a mystery picture. What picture do you see? A bat!

Learn counting and basic sight words with this mini-book project. Students count and color the pumpkins. Then they assemble the -book and read. Each page says, "There are _ pumpkins."

Build Sentences

Cut out the word cards. Arrange them into as many complete sentences as you can. Most words are basic sight words, such as: will, to, see, on, a, can. Some words are Halloween-themed, such as ghost, moon, cat, black, pumpkin.
Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
Students cut out the word cards and rearrange them to make a complete sentence. The sentence says, "The witch flies on a broom."
Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
Create the sentence "We made a funny witch." Cut out the words and glue them in the correct order. Then rewrite the sentence on the primary-ruled lines.
Kindergarten to 2nd Grade
Cut out the words and rearrange them to make a complete sentence. The sentence reads: "Do you see the pumpkin?"
