Students will rewrite each sports-themed sentence. They will add commas to separate items or phrases in a series. They'll also need to capitalize and punctuate properly.

Commas to Offset Non-Essential Information

Use pairs of commas to offset non-essential information in a sentence. (example: My oldest sister, Elizabeth, is an airline pilot.)

Commas After Interjections

In this worksheet, students will rewrite four sentences. They will add correct capitalization and punctuation. They will also place a comma after the word yes or no at the beginning of each sentence.
3rd through 6th Grades
Students answer each question, in a complete sentence, beginning with the word yes or no. Students should place a comma after the word yes or no at the beginning of each sentence.

Use a comma after the interjections yes, no, and sure.

Commas in Dialogue

Rewrite each sentence. Place the commas and quotation marks in the correct positions.

Write each date correctly. Include capital letters and commas. (example: Tuesday, January 3, 2024)

Rewrite each sentence. Capitalize the beginning of the sentence, as well as the names of months and days. Also place commas in the date correctly.

Correct the capitalization and comma errors for the names and addresses on the envelopes shown.
